What to see?

There are reminders of the ancient history of Rhodes in Gennadi. First of all, these are the Church of St. John the Theologian of the 16th century and the small Church of St. Anastasia. The latter was founded in the 12th century on the ruins of an early Christian Church of the 6th century. It is considered to be the most beautiful attraction of Gennadi. Inside, the whole church is decorated with wall paintings, although the building is not remarkable on the outside. Please note: the church is open to the public until midday.

In addition to the churches in Gennadi, there is an old olive press and the police station building, whose architecture is designed in the Italian style. And in the old part of the village, you can walk along the narrow cobbled streets and to feel as if in the distant past.

Gennadi beach can be easily called a local attraction. It stretches for 8 kilometers and merges with the beach of the village of Kiotari. The coast is always free, even in the height of the season. The beach is covered with pebbles. In spite of this, Gennadi beach is chosen by families with children for its cleanliness and tranquility. There are sun loungers and umbrellas, taverns and beach bars on some parts of the coast.
