The ancient Greeks, and after them the Romans, knew a lot about pleasure! Take at least SPA - sanus per aqua, which translates as "health through water." This is perhaps the only way of recovery that will appeal to the most sophisticated hedonist. Ancient mythology is replete with many stories about living miraculous water that bubbles up from the ground, giving beauty and health.

In classical Greece, there were ancient baths at large houses and gymnasiums; during the Hellenistic period, they were used by the entire population of the city. In ancient Rome, the "spa" arose according to the Greek model and became the centers of social life.

Nowadays, many people do not associate holidays in Greece with hydrotherapy, but in vain. There are enough places in Greece where you can warm your body in mineral water and feel like a true patrician. Soft water envelops your body, relaxes your muscles, takes fussy thoughts away, gives bliss and health.

Agia Paraskevi

The thermal resort of Agia Paraskevi is located on the first "finger" of the Halkidiki peninsula, Kassandra, which makes it easy to combine a beach holiday and SPA. This is a modern wellness complex where you can spend the whole day swimming in the outdoor pool overlooking the bay, visiting the hammam or getting a massage. The complex was renovated not so long ago and now it is a Spa center of a completely European level. On the outdoor terrace there are sun loungers where you can relax between swims. The view from the terrace is amazing: the rocks, the sea and the endless sky. There is a bar where you can order drinks, snacks and ice cream. Be careful, visiting thermal springs brings back a special taste to life, and with it comes a brutal appetite.
