By plane from Thessaloniki to Santorini

  • Piraeus is the largest port in Greece, from which approximately 8 ferries depart to Santorini per day. The earliest is at 7:00, the latest is after 21:00. Travel time from Piraeus to Santorini is 4.5-8.5 hours. The cheapest ticket will cost 40 euros one way;
  • Rafina is the second most important port of Attica, located in the city of the same name. It can be reached from Athens Airport by bus in 20 minutes. Rafina operates ferries to the Cyclades. Ships to Santorini depart twice a day and spend 5.5 to 8.5 hours at sea. Ticket price - from 35 euros;
  • Lavrio - ferries to Santorini rarely depart from this port, the schedule needs to be clarified every season.

Some tourists take a car rented on the mainland with them. In this case, you will have to pay extra from 80 to 150 euros for transporting a vehicle. It is worth remembering that this option is not available on every ferry.

Traveling to Santorini from Thessaloniki loses to the flight both in terms of profit and time. It takes at least 6 hours to get to Piraeus. Taking into account the waiting time and travel time, you will have to spend at least 14-16 hours on the road.
