Top 3 Wedding Venues on the First "Finger" of the Halkidiki Peninsula – Kassandra
Choosing a wedding venue on Kassandra can be overwhelming — this region is known for its stunning views, exquisite beaches, and warm hospitality. To help you decide, we reached out to local wedding photographer Alexandros Tsagkalidis, who has been working in this beautiful corner of Greece for many years. Alexandros shared with us his favorite venues, which he believes are perfect for hosting an unforgettable celebration.
1. Delmare Pantazara Estate
Delmare Pantazara Estate is a charming wedding venue located on the Kassandra Peninsula, between the villages of Paliouri and Nea Skioni. The site is surrounded by olive groves, creating a unique atmosphere of seclusion and natural beauty. A wedding here offers the perfect blend of elegance and nature.
Alexandros notes: "This venue can accommodate up to 100 guests, making it an excellent choice for a smaller gathering. Pay special attention to the dynamic stage lighting and the dedicated DJ area — this creates a unique ambiance during the evening part of the wedding. By the way, you can also arrive at the venue by boat, provided by the complex itself, adding a special Greek charm to the moment."
Delmare Pantazara Estate also provides its own chefs, waitstaff, and bar service, ensuring high-quality hospitality. There's parking and even a beach, allowing guests to enjoy the sea and sand as well.
2. Miraggio Thermal Spa Resort
Miraggio Thermal Spa Resort is located at the very tip of Kassandra, near the village of Paliouri. This venue is part of the five-star hotel of the same name, allowing you to combine your wedding celebration with luxurious guest accommodations.
Alexandros emphasizes: "This option is ideal for larger weddings, as it can host up to 150 guests. Guests can enjoy not only a spacious banquet hall but also a pool to relax before or after the event. Plus, there's a marina where you can rent a yacht and explore the open sea."
However, despite its many advantages, keep in mind the significant distance from the center of Kassandra. But if you are looking for a place that combines luxury and privacy, Miraggio is an excellent choice.
3. Sahara Resort
Sahara Resort is another stunning wedding venue located just 30 minutes from Thessaloniki, near the village of Nea Irakleia. This resort boasts a spacious area with breathtaking views of the Aegean Sea and Mount Olympus.
"Sahara Resort is the perfect choice for those planning a large celebration, as the venue can accommodate up to 250 guests. Like the other mentioned venues, it has everything you need for an unforgettable wedding: a bar, in-house chefs, waitstaff, and a stage with dynamic lighting," says Alexandros.
Additionally, the resort offers a huge parking lot that can hold up to 1,200 cars, and there's a children's area with entertainers to keep the little ones from getting bored.
"As for drawbacks, I would note the limited variety of backgrounds for photo and video shoots — essentially, there’s just the beach and the venue itself," Alexandros adds.
Its proximity to Thessaloniki makes Sahara Resort convenient for guests coming from the city. And its beachfront location allows guests to enjoy the wedding and take a refreshing dip in the warm waters of the Aegean Sea.
If you're planning a wedding on the Kassandra Peninsula, be sure to consider these venues. Each one offers something unique and can make your celebration truly unforgettable.
